2 CD set covers the 40 year history of the seminal Argentinian ensemble Cuarteto Cedrón: Juan Cedron (vocals and guitar), Cesar Stroscio (bandonèon), Jorge Sarraute (bass) and Miguel Praino (viola, violin). De Cada Día includes 40 tracks of musical poetry that spans an impressive career.

The record label press:
During the 60’s, a time when the tango could have been considered as belonging to the past, the genre was given a new lease on life thanks to Cuarteto Cedron. The group was built around Juan Cedron (vocals and guitar), the bandonèon of Cesar Stroscio, the double bass of Jorge Sarraute and the violin of Miguel Praino, soon to be replaced by a viola for a richer more sensual tone. Over time, the group’s style has evolved and been enriched by a variety of musical encounters and exchanges and the development of improvisation, never forgetting the first principles: artistic excellence, emotion, aesthetics and a shared social conscience. This anthology invites the listener to take a stroll down memory lane, the itinerary in this case being the extraordinary 40-year story of one of the most prestigious tango ensembles of the modern era. From their roots in the Buenos-Aires of the late 60’s where they founded Gotan, a café-come- musical-come-artistic space in a Bohemian basement, the group globe-trotted, recording and playing in Spain and France before leaving Argentina for Paris permanently in 1974. They have continued to play with passion, combining dance, art and poetry with their music. Covering 40 years in 40 glorious tracks, this handsomely presented set celebrates not only the longevity but also the continuing artistic vitality of one of tango’s enduring legends.

Please note!
Most CDs have been imported from Europe or Asia. They are not all shrink-wrapped, and I am not going to con you by wrapping them here just to make you think they have been sterilized in America. We guarantee that the CDs and the contents are all brand new and in perfect condition. Whenever I can, I use recycled shipping materials. They may not look as pretty on the outside, but they save money and keep the trash dumps a little bit emptier.
