cd cover Skip Gorman and the Waddie Pals
Dogie Music (Old West Recordings)

OK, so he was born in Rhode island and went to Brown University, but American music is American music, and these songs of the old west and southwest are as much a part of the American DNA as the blues, jazz and Tin Pan Alley - no matter where you or your family came from, this music had some small part in your seiminal musical world. I have always had a soft-spot for old-timey string music and this recording is an excellent collection of some great old tunes, known and less-known. Simple, direct, no fusion, not fancy nonesense, just one strain of the American musical patchwork played with joy and spirit by a diverse group of rootless suburbanites who just love the music. Have some today... it's good for you.

Skip Gorman -lead vocals, guitar, fiddle, slide guitar
Tom Sauber -fiddle, banjo, mandolin, harmony vocals
Patrick Sauber -mandolin, accordion, harmony vocals
Mary Burdette -bass, harmony vocals
Ruthie Dornfeld -fiddle

Please note!
Most CDs have been imported from Europe or Asia. They are not all shrink-wrapped, and I am not going to con you by wrapping them here just to make you think they have been sterilized in America. We guarantee that the CDs and the contents are all brand new and in perfect condition. Whenever I can, I use recycled shipping materials. They may not look as pretty on the outside, but they save money and keep the trash dumps a little bit emptier.
